Chronic tension (whether from trauma, life’s stresses, or habitual movement patterns) shuts down our ability to feel connected to life and others and most importantly, to our self. Releasing these tensions encourages physical and emotional healing and allow us to touch the essence of who we really are. A private session can include breath, sound, movement, or touch as ways of facilitating relaxation and restoring sensation and awareness.
Generally, a private session is an hour in length. Sometimes people benefit from longer or shorter sessions. For a bodywork session, a person can choose to remain fully clothed or be partially clothed and covered by a cozy blanket. People wear comfortable, loose clothing for a movement session.
Continuum private sessions are best for people who want specific, personal instruction and attention whether for personal growth or physical challenges. Private sessions provide an introduction to Continuum for those who want to participate in longer retreats and also support one’s movement practice at home. These sessions are usually one and one half or two hours in order to allow plenty of time for instruction and moving.
